Oak Ridge National Laboratory awarded me a Special Performance Award for going above and beyond the requirements and expectations of a postdoc. This covers my accomplishments in research, science outreach, and being a generally “good citizen” during 2017.
Of particular note, ORNL appreciated the set-up and co-organisation of a journal club for the Materials Theory group, the invitation and organisation of Dr. Garisto and his family for a visit of the Lab, and finally the continuing enthusiasm I bring to our Science Trailers, explaining our research local children.
