Late December 2018, I started working at the National Research Council of Canada as a Postdoc Fellow.
The NRC is the R&D branch of the government of Canada, and acts simultaneously as a national laboratory, a standard keeping institute, and a funding agency. We connect the fundamental research done at universities to the cutting-edge applications of industries.
I am part of the second round of the NRC Postdoc Fellows: 12 scientists hired to research topics from mining asteroids to biological additive manufacturing, in any of the many locations across Canada.
Together with Isaac Tamblyn and in the Quantum Theory group of the Security and Disruptive Technologies research center (formerly known as Steacie Laboratory), I will learn and apply deep learning to material science. The position is set for two-years.
